Sam got baptized in June.
One of my friends took some 8-year-old pictures for me. There were a ton of great ones. Here are just a few:
He kept being a goofball, but he did pretty well.
I found out too late that the front pocket was a fake pocket. I wanted to put Charlie's old missionary tag in there, but it just wouldn't work.
He wanted to get a picture with the rocks.
We wanted a picture with the church sign, but we had a hard time finding one low enough. We finally found one that would work...
But this was the only way to make it work :)
Baptism Invitation:
I saw this idea on Pinterest, and I really wanted to try it out. Basically get a bunch of pictures of Sam from birth up until now and put them in the shape of the number 8. It took me a lot of hours because I had a hard time narrowing down my favorite pictures of Sam. I think I figured out I needed roughly 70 pictures . After a couple hours, I got it narrowed down to 200. I just cut the pictures down and decided to make 2 of them.
My aunt took some pictures for us before the baptism. We've always struggled getting Sam to do a good smile ;)
Baptism Brochure: We found out too late that Bishop Woodford would be there and he would be doing the bishopric stuff instead of Brother Emmett. Oh well!
We also had lots of cousins and friends there to support Sam. He and his cousins sang "Gethsemane." It was pretty awesome. I love that Sam made the decision to be baptized. He's such a great little man! :)
