Cordova Family Reunion

Charlie planned for a family reunion for the Cordova side of the family He found these great cabins in Wapiti for everyone to stay in. I forgot to get any pictures of them, so I had to resort to taking pictures from other people.

This is the main cabin on the right side. There is also a lower cabin and upper cabin on the left side. We also had another cabin off to the left of this one, as well as another cabin up the hill behind this cabin. Our family stayed in the lower cabin.

This is a picture of the living area in the main cabin. It had lots of room for people. There were 3 double beds off to the left, then the dining room in the bottom right of this picture, and the kitchen was behind this.

They had a washer and dryer to use.

This is the best picture I could find to show the kitchen.

Part of the view:

We headed up on July 5th to check out the cabins and start dinner. Charlie was pretty bummed because he planned a chili dinner and he couldn't eat any of it since he still had the feeding tube in his throat.

July 6th we had to go back to Billings to get Charlie's feeding tube taken out. That took us pretty much the whole day. We got back in time for Charlie to head out fishing. Most everyone else had taken off to either go horseback riding or try out the new zip line in the area. Sam and Brett had stayed with Charlie's mom so they could play with their cousins. Dinner that night was hot dogs and hamburgers, along with fish that they caught that day. Then there were s'mores and sitting around a camp fire.

July 7th we had a simple breakfast, and then cleaned up and checked out. We took a few pictures of everyone. Then some of the family headed back home. The rest of us headed over to Charlie's aunt's house in Cody for lunch. Then we all headed back home.

Charlie was glad to be able to go fishing. He didn't get to go as much as he would have liked, but at least he got to go once.

I found this bubble container while we were in Billings. Brett loved it. I don't know how much time her spent outside just blowing bubbles. I also bought a bunch of sidewalk chalk that everyone seemed to enjoy.

We played a lot of board games those few days.

Charlie and his siblings and a couple cousins.

I didn't see much of Sam. He spent most of the time playing board games with his cousins. He had a lot of fun.

There is a tire swing in the backyard of Charlie's aunt's house, so we entertained ourselves there for a while. They boys LOVED it!

And apparently at some point in the last few days, Amelia got tagged by a green marker :)

It was a really fun few days. Hopefully next time it won't be preceded by any medical emergencies so we can enjoy it fully :)
