Soccer

As if we didn't have enough going on this summer, we decided Sam would probably like soccer. He's never played soccer before, and we don't really know hardly anything about soccer, so it was a learning experience for everyone.

The first game was pretty hectic. There were miscommunications between pretty much everybody, so it took about half an hour just to get what we needed for a game. At the start of the game, we didn't have any goals, so we had a couple people stand in as markers.

Grandpa was giving Sam pointers on how to be a goalie.

Eventually, someone was able to round up some cones, so the people were able to sit down.

As is the case with most kid sports games, there was a lot of running around crazy. Sam's favorite part was being goalie.

It was fun watching him get better and better each game.

Brett kept himself entertained with everyone's phones. He's learned how to talk on the phone.

He's also learned which buttons to push to get Grandma's phone to talk :)

I think Sam will want to do soccer again next year. He's been kicking balls around everyone and "shooting for the goals."
