Crazy Summer

With birthdays, family visits, holidays, and everything in between, it's been one crazy summer. I haven't done a great job of photo-taking since my camera broke, so I had to steal a bunch from Facebook and other people. Hopefully, I'll get a new camera pretty soon. I've just about got enough saved up for a good one. Here's all the stuff that happened that doesn't warrant it's own post.

As always, Grandma's spaghetti is a huge hit.

Sam really enjoyed T-ball. It was a short season, but we were ok with that. Everything was so busy, that it was ok to end one thing to start another.

Just a day at the park. Brett loves the swings.

This is how I find these two a lot of mornings. Brett is finally starting to sleep through the night (knock on wood), so we don't have as many of these types of nights any more.

Sam's friend had a birthday party at the wading pool, so we decided to take Brett as well. I think he really enjoyed it. He's always loved the water.

This kids gets into EVERYTHING!!!! His favorite places are the bathrooms (although he mostly just gets into the toilet paper, so I guess it could be worse), Kleenex boxes, and our cabinet with all our glass jars. He'll also climb into the fridge if you let him.

He's mastered going upstairs, but hasn't quite figured out going downstairs yet. He goes down head first, as long as it's only a few steps. He'll go up and down no problem into the boy's room, but if he goes into our room (which has more steps), he'll just sit at the top of the stairs and yell until someone comes and gets him. He's gone down them a couple times, but I think he's still a little scared.

We decided to build a fort one day. Sam thought it was pretty cool. It took up the whole living room. He said that it was a pokemon training center and had little rooms for all his pokemon. After Brett woke up from his nap, he liked crawling through it too. Sam was ok with that, because he likes to pretend that Brett is Pichu, so he fit right in.

We did a yard sale a couple weeks ago. The timing and weather was bad, so we had some down time. Brett loved playing Annie's keyboard.

 Just a cute boy.

During Byron's Days, Sam got to be in the parade with his cousins. They were at the front of the parade, so after they did their tour, they were able to run down and get a bunch of candy from the other floats.

He got to wear this awesome hair. It lit up, which was great for the fireworks that night. Sam did really good with the fireworks. His cousin Quinn was there to help him not be scared. He didn't even plug his ears during the really loud ones, which surprised me. He hates loud sounds.

Brett got to wear the hair too :)

I cam in one day to find Sam's shoes laying in the floor. I looked inside them and wondered how in the world he was able to walk in those shoes with them full of woodchips.

While my sister was in town, we realized that there was only one day that she was going to be here that the kiddie pool was going to be open. We headed over there that day. Sam got cold really fast though, so we headed home after probably half an hour.
