I was able to get one picture before my mom's camera had no battery power left. I had my iPad, but didn't want to take that out in case it got broken or something. But we had plenty of time to sit while we were waiting for Charlie, so Sam had fun with the camera. I don't remember why, but he wasn't allowed to play games on the iPad, but I compromised and let him use the camera.

Camping on North Fork
As happens every year, Charlie took a week off to go fishing up in the mountains when the North Fork opened up for fishing. Charlie's family decided to take a couple nights to go camping there since the previous trip didn't turn out so great. We had gotten a big tent recently from a going-out-of-business sale. It's a 10-person tent, so there was plenty of room. We brought a double air mattress for me, Charlie, and Brett, and a single air mattress for Sam, along with blankets, pillows, and sleeping bags. After getting everything set up, I remembered how small a double air mattress was and didn't think that we would be able to fit all three of us on there. So I switched Sam over to the double and went on the single with Brett. Sam was kind of bummed to start with, but he got over it. Brett refused to go to sleep that night. I'm not sure how long I tried before I finally put him on his tummy on top of me, then he was finally settled. This wasn't so great for me because I rarely sleep on my back. And any time I shifted around, Brett would wake up screaming. Plus, there was apparently a hole in the air mattress, so I was on the hard ground, unable to move. Around 3am, I heard Charlie wake up, so I asked him if we could switch and he could take Brett so I could get some sleep. We tried, but Brett refused to be calm with anyone but me. Charlie took the single air mattress, and I climbed on the double with Sam. So we ended up with three people on that one anyway, but at least I was able to get at least a little sleep. The next morning, Charlie headed out to do some fishing with his cousin, and I started packing up. I forgot how different the Big Horns are compared to the Snowy Range in Laramie, where we did our camping while we lived there. It's a lot colder in the Snowy Range, so that's what I was expecting. I didn't pack cool clothes because I thought we would be cold. It got really hot that morning. Our campsite had no trees for shade, so we stayed in the tent to stay out of the sun, but it was really hot in there, so we were kind of miserable. I got as much packed as I could and waited for Charlie to get back. Most of the stuff had to be packed in the truck, so I could only do so much. He finally got there, and we were able to pack up and go. I was exhausted, even though it was only a night, but we're going to have to try something different next time we go camping.
