It's Finally Finished!*

*I say it's finished, but there are still a few things that need to be done that can't get done yet (don't have the materials I need, etc). But everything is fully functional, so I say it's done.

Remember about a year ago, when I started remodeling my in-laws bathroom? And remember when I had all those other problems with it? Well, it's finally done!*

We got them this curtain for Christmas. It goes pretty well in there.
Here's the shower.

Here's the bath with new fixtures and new toilet. You can also see a couple of the jobs that still need to be done. The cupboard above needs to be sanded and painted, and I also need to make an access panel for the plumbing. That wouldn't have been hard to do, but I couldn't get the wood and stuff that I needed because all the hardware stores were closed. Here's the new vanity.

New tile.
I framed the mirror so you can't see all the spots on the outside edges of the mirror. You can see they're also having issues with their electrical stuff. Whenever you try to turn on the light, there's a weird humming noise, and then everything goes off. Can't blame me though. I didn't touch the electric :)

Here's the new fan and light fixture. We had to take the old one back because he said he couldn't put a wall mounted fixture in because it was wired for a ceiling mounted. (I was told that it would be just a simple rewiring to make that happen, so I'm not sure what's going on there). You can also see the paint color.
I found a bunch of new towel rack sets at a yard sale, so I put those in there. This also shows another project that needs to be done. I have new trim for the window, but I figured I would wait until they replaced the windows to put those in.
Other things that need to be done: Door sanded and painted, and put back on hinges, door trim sanded and painted.
That was fun. I'll have to do it again some time :)

Very nice! One of these summers Aaron will have to rewire all their electric stuff.....it's pretty outdated.

this makes me stupid-happy. Seriously, remember that horrible tub that we had to twist with a pair of channel locks?
