We decided to take a day trip up to Cody one day. Sam has been asking to go to the museum ever since he got to go with Charlie and his dad. They got there late in the day, so they weren't able to see much that day. Charlie also wanted to head up North Fork because now is the perfect time to see a bunch of wildlife up there. We got up to Cody around lunch time, and Sam requested Dairy Queen for lunch.
Then we headed over to the museum. In case you didn't know, it's really hard to learn anything at a museum when you have an 18-month old with you. We didn't get to see much. They had a couple people come in with some birds. Sam was interested for a while, but then wanted to go.
We tried to walk around, but Brett would scream if he was in the stroller, then run around everywhere if he was out of the stroller. Sam got tired pretty quickly, and all he wanted to do was sit in the stroller. After a short time (I'm, guessing maybe a total of an hour and a half), we were all ready to leave. we headed back to Dairy Queen to grab some ice cream. The boys got some free ice cream with their meals, but apparently it wasn't enough for Brett, After he finished his off, he started in on Charlie's blizzard :)
We headed over to Walmart to get some Tylenol. I had a pretty bad headache from the day. While I was there, I noticed that they had a lot of kids clothes on clearance. I spent more time in there than I originally planned, but we got some good deals for the kids. Sam was especially excited for a Mario shirt that came with a hat. He wanted to wear it the rest of the day :)
We were able to see quite a bit of wildlife. Sam wanted to take pictures of all of them.
We got up to Pahaska, then turned around and headed home. It was starting to get dark. We stopped in at Burger King on the way back through Cody. Sam wanted to play on the Play Place. We got there just as they were closing the Play Place, but since there were still people in there, they let us go in as well. They had a little slide that was perfect for Brett. They both had a lot of fun.
Overall, it was a fun family day, but I think next time, we'll just skip the museum.
