May I should stay away from Ebay too...

My piano was taking up too much room, so I decided to trade it in for a keyboard. It's a lot better for the amount of space we have in our apartment, plus it's easier to practice my music because I can record the parts individually and work on one part at a time. I found it on Ebay for around the same price as a brand new keyboard, but this one came with the stand, foot pedal, bench, and A/C adapter, plus the keyboard itself had only been played for about 30 hours, so it was practically new. The people who bought our piano seemed very excited about it, so that's good.

Charlie found out that he was having a mission reunion last weekend. He put his shifts for work on the swapboard for people to take. Usually it's not that hard to get someone to take your shifts, but for some reason, no one wanted to take any. We were planning on leaving Thursday night after Charlie got off work, but Thursday rolled around and some of his shifts were still on the swapboard. His reunion was Friday night, so we were running out of time. Friday morning, he only had two hours left to get rid of. He finally started calling people to see if he could get someone to take his shifts. Someone took them, so we started scrambling to get everything packed up. We left around 10, so we figured we'd be in the area a couple hours early. If you recall, we haven't had the best of luck at arriving at his reunions at the right time. The first year we went, traffic was so bad, we ended up being 2 hours late and basically made it just in time for the program to be over. The next year, we didn't want a repeat of the year before, so we left about extremely early, and ended up arriving 2 hours early. After we got to Salt Lake, I was seeing a repeat of the first year: bumper to bumper traffic and contruction causing hours of delay. I was afraid we weren't going to make it in time. Instead of getting there a couple hours early, we were about 20 minutes early. Pretty good timing. Here's a picture of us with Charlie's mission president and his wife. If we look tired it's because this was taken around 11:00 pm. That was the earliest we could steal them away from everyone else.

Charlie had a great time. A few of his old mission compainions were there, so he was able to sit and talk about the "good old days" :) There were a few kids Sam's age for him to play with, so he was running around everywhere with them.
After the mission reunion, we headed over to Matt and Melin's for the night. Thanks again for letting us stay with you! We had a great time. We were able to play a bunch of games, which is always fun. We left Sunday morning, trying to miss the rush of people going to or leaving General Conference. We stopped At Karen's on the way, and she let me play with her Cricut. Here's what I made:

Charlie kept laughing at me because I was so excited to use it. Now I want one. I've been scouring Ebay for one, but their way expensive! I'm hoping I'll get lucky and find one for pretty cheap, so I'll keep looking.

I left the snack cupboard unlocked one day. Oops! At least I know he can fend for himself.

Charlie took Sam to a football game so I could get some much needed cleaning done. We found this hat at a yard sale and couldn't pass it up.

We babysat one week. Brooklyn is just a little younger than Sam, so they had a great time.

Charlie has a game that he plays with Sam. Charlie will get in Sam's chair, and Sam will come push him out of it. It must have looked like fun, because Brooklyn joined in.

There. Now I think I'm caught up.

Very cute. The last two years in the Day after Thansgiving sales there have been good deals on Cricuts. One at Wal-Mart, I think others at Joanns. If I see some at stores here that I know you don't have up there then I'll let you know and if you want then you can pay me back...Or maybe I'll just hod it ransom in exchange for a visit. Lol.
