Sam has always had beautiful hair. Practically every day, someone compliments it. So last night, I was devastated to find while cutting Sam's hair, that after the first swipe of the clippers, I realized I had forgotten to put a guard on the clippers. I didn't realize it until it was too late.
I did everything I could to salvage it. I tried hiding it by doing a sort of comb over (yeah, I was desparate), but that didn't work. I tried cutting it all with the shortest guard I had, but the spot was still noticable. I tried only shaving the bottom section of his head, kind of like a crew cut style, but Sam wouldn't sit still long enough for me to really work at it.

It didn't turn out very well, but I still wanted to try it. By the end of the night, Sam was terrified at the sound of the clippers. And I don't know if he was mimicking me or what, but he kept touching his head and whimpering. I finally decided I would just figure things out in the morning. Well, this morning, I decided the best course of action would be to just shave it all off. I had to bribe him with M&M's to sit down by me.
He is now more bald than he's ever been.
In other news, Charlie got an ice fishing hut and gas auger off Craig's list for pretty cheap. He was really excited about it and now can't wait until it freezes here so he can try it out. Of course, he had to buy all the other accessories for it, like poles, lures, and all that fun stuff. I can't make fun of him too much for it. I finally found a Cricut pretty cheap. I was able to get the machine, a blade, a mat, and 3 cartridges for just over $100. And I used it to finally finish the scrapbook from our Texas trip (June 2007)! I am so far behind.

He's still stinkin' cute! It'll grow back and he's still young enough that he won't care.
Oh how sad! Well, TJ's never had a lot of hair, but I can imagine how hard that would be. At least it'll grow quickly and be all even:)
He's still cuter than you and Charlie. At least you didn't do that to your younger brother when he was 15. Ahem Karen Cough.
Little boys' hair grows so fast you won't even remember it! :) I've messed up too many times to count. I wish I could have been there, because together we might have been able to work the crew cut thing.
I did the same thing to Ethan once! And yes, I cried! It really does grow back quickly though and it comes in nice and thick but still soft. :)
