WARNING: Long post. Open at your own risk.

Well, it's been a while since I've posted, but it's been crazy busy. We got to our Astros game on the 13th. Charlie's parents got to come to watch Sam. Thanks again Kristy for watching Pat so they could come! It was a pretty good game, up until the last inning.

The Astros were up by a long shot. Then they switched pitchers, and it all went downhill from there.

This looks pretty impressive, what with the score being 12-3 in the 5th inning. After I took this picture, the Rockies got 2 runs in the 6th, 1 run in the 7th, and 5 runs, which includes a grand slam, in the bottom of the 9th. I was actually getting worried that the Astros were going to lose. The Astros won 15-11, a much closer game than it should have been.

I'm wearing my coat not only because it was a little chilly, but also to hide the fact that I'm wearing an Astros shirt. Please don't disown me.

We went to another game the next day, and Charlie's parents came with us since we had to be checked out of our hotel room before the game. It went pretty well, but I didn't get to watch the game as much because I was trying to calm Sam. Charlie's mom did a pretty good job of keeping him satisfied, but he hates loud noises, it was hot, and Sam really needed a nap. All those combined make a pretty unhappy baby. The Astros won 5-3.

Such a tired baby. Sam also got his picture taken with the Rockies mascot, but right when I was going to take the picture, my computer froze up and I didn't know it wasn't taking the picture because the display screen isn't working right.

We got moved from Laramie just fine, although I should have managed my time better. I waited until the last minute to do anything, so I was rushing to get everything packed and cleaned. We ended up leaving about 2:00 in the afternoon, when the original plan was to leave around 8 or 9 in the morning.

When my cousins turn 8, my Grandma Savage and my mom make them a quilt for their birthday. Jerrod and Lyssa (Melin's kids) are turning 8 in July. My mom was having a hard time getting motivated enough to get pictures ready for the quilt, so I decided to help. They wanted Kirby quilts, which wouldn't have been very hard to paint since they're just little round blobs, but trying to find enough of a variety to make the quilts look good. So we switched gears and made Super Smash Brothers characters instead. It's a game they enjoy playing, and I think that's where they got the idea for Kirby in the first place. They better like the quilts. I basically spent 3 whole days from morning until night painting these quilt squares. I just barely got done about an hour ago. But I think they turned out pretty nice.

We were able to add in a few Kirby's for them.

I was able to find a website where you can create your own avatars, so I did my best to make them look like Jerrod and Lyssa.

26 painted squared in all, and no two exactly alike. I think that's pretty impressive. If you have never done fabric painting like this, you probably don't think it's too impressive. The worst part was finding tubes of paint that actually worked. A lot of the color had to be squeezed out of the tube and applied with a stick. Torture! I'm glad I'm done.

My next project: helping my grandma get ready for her yard sale. I love organizing stuff! It should be fun.
