Before Charlie had to go back to being a student after the Christmas break, we had a chance to go sledding. We spent most of the day looking for a good spot to sled. Unfortunately, the wind had blown all the snow from good sledding hills and dumped it on flat land. After hours of searching, we just ended up going to the same place we went last year. There is an area that used to be a ski resort, so it's got a lot of good, clear hills. We got there late enough in the day that, for most of the time, we were the only ones there. Sam was brave enough this time to go down all by himself. He had a blast. At one point, he swerved off course and hit a tree, but even that didn't stop him from wanting to keep sledding. He ran in front of me once and I plowed him over, but he just laughed at it. For as late in the day as it was, I'm surprised we stayed warm. We did have many layers, as you can see, but we still usually get cold. I think we're going to try going again on one of the days off.
Sam had his first choir concert last week. He was very cute up there on stage, and so proud when he was done. Charlie said it made him feel old that he was sitting there watching his kid do a school program.
Aren't they all so cute? :)
