Next was the Hay Ride. This was probably Sam's favorite part. A tractor pulled us around a field. He liked looking at all the stuff we passed.
Next, we went to the corn maze. It was really muddy because there had just been a big snow storm and it was all melting. Sam enjoyed picking up the snow and throwing it at everybody. And I mean everybody. We really had to watch to make sure he didn't throw snowballs at the other people in the maze :)
It was so muddy, the mud just caked onto our boots (very glad we thought to bring boots along).
It got so bad for Sam that he couldn't even lift his foot up. The mud was too heavy.
So Charlie let him ride on his shoulders. This picture just cracks me up :)
It was quite a workout trying to get through with all that mud, slipping and sliding everywhere.
After we finally made it out, Sam wanted to go back to the Hay Ground. He really liked chasing Charlie around.
They also had a trebuchet to throw the pumpkins. Charlie saw someone doing it, and it looked like great fun, so Charlie decided to throw a pumpkin too. I guess there's just something fantastic about seeing a pumpkin thrown into the air and come crashing down into a million pieces.
Sam kept covering his ears whenever it went off. Not sure why though. It wasn't loud, just big.
Sam kept saying something about a lollipop, so we went to find what he was looking for. They didn't sell any lollipops, but they sold some of these humongous pixie sticks. Sam REALLY liked it :) He was definitely on a sugar high that night.
