Halloween and Christmas

Sam wanted to be a dinosaur for Halloween. He couldn't wait to put his costume on. He wanted to try it on right after we got it. He'd walk around the house saying, "Rawr!"The University had a Safe Trick or Treat. Sam had quite a bit of fun, although he was a little scared of some of the costumes. But he liked everyone giving him candy. They also had a bunch of games for him to play. He loved the bowling especially and didn't want to leave.

Sam refused to take a picture by himself, so Charlie had to sit with him :)

There were a lot of kids at his daycare Halloween party, so he didn't have a lot of fun. We were only there for about 10 minutes, then figured if he wasn't having fun, there was no reason to be there.

We finally got a chance to carve pumpkins. Sam was actually enjoying it, until he saw the camera.

Then he was more interested in taking pictures.

Here's one he took. Lovely, isn't it? All my makeup had worn off by this time of the night :)

Sam wanted a Mickey Mouse jack-o-lantern. I forgot to buy candles, so we just shined a flashlight on it. Sam though it was pretty cool.

I was going to do something more creative, but by the time I started carving my pumpkin, I was just too tired, so I stuck with simple.

We got to go home for Thanksgiving. It was a pretty short visit, but it was still a lot of fun. Sam loves playing the Wii with his grandpa.

While we were there, my cousin Ashleigh cut anybody's hair that wanted it cut. She was at it for hours and hours. This is a picture of everyone's hair she cut. I chopped mine off, at least a foot. It's just not practical to have really long hair in Laramie. The wind blows so bad that it just rats my hair so bad, plus it's hard to keep a hood on because there's so much hair in the way. So I'm loving it a ton. It's a lot easier to deal with.

I think our son is obsessed with Lightning McQueen. Someone in the ward gave us the hat, I bought the pajamas, and I found the slippers at a yard sale. He insists on wearing his hat and slippers to bed every night, and he won't lay down until he has them. He'd wear the pajamas every night too if I let him.

School is finally over! Woohoo! Charlie only has one more semester until he graduates, then it's on to grad school. I decided not to go next semester because it was just way too crazy right now, with Charlie and his grad school stuff, plus it's really hard to get any homework done with Sam around. Any time I got on the computer, he'd come over and want to play.

Well, that's about it. Hopefully I'll be more on the ball now that school is over.
