Sam's favorite thing at the zoo was the little train that took a short trip around the zoo. He was getting impatient because there were so many people wanting to ride it. He would get mad when the train would pull up and he couldn't get on. He was satisfied when we were finally sitting on the train.
He's saying, "Train"
Sam's least favorite part of the zoo was the carousel. I tried putting him on this lion first, but he didn't like it, so I tried just a little bench that didn't move up and down.
He wasn't too much a fan of that either.
Sam also enjoyed the bird house. We got there in time for feeding the birds, which is throwing meal worms at them. There was a guy there that would give everyone handfuls of the worms. Sam would get a meal worm out of Charlie's hand and throw it as far as he could, then watch the birds come eat the worms. He went back to the guy a few times to get more worms. He probably used more than any other kid there.
We just had to compare our size to a polar bear's size. They're huge!
This animal baffled us. Not only does it look like some cross-zebra, but you should see the tongue on it! It could lick the back of it's ears. I could never get a picture of the tongue.
Towards the end of the day, Sam was bored with looking at the animals and had more fun pushing around the wagon. He did really well, especially since it was getting pretty late and he still hadn't had a nap yet.
