During Easter Break, since we didn't get a chance to go home, we decided to take a trip to Denver. Charlie really wanted me to see the love sacks, and we also wanted to find our hotel for when we go for the Rockies/Astros games. We ended up at the mall, where I saw the love seats and decided they would just be way too big for our apartment right now. Then we found a game store, where we bought Kingsburg. We don't have any games for just the two of us except for Monopoly and Uno, and those get old pretty fast. This game is made for 2-5 people, but it is still a lot of fun with just the two of us.
We also ended up at Brookstone ( I think that's what it's called). They had the most awesome foot massager I have ever seenon display! It does shiatsu for your feet, ankles, and calves. It was really expensive, but I really wanted it. I ended up talking Charlie into getting it and using it as my Christmas/Birthday/Anniversary presents. Besides, I guess it's his fault anyway. He was the one that walked in the store. I justified it by saying that I thought our car repairs were going to be a lot more than they were, so really we weren't spending any more money, we were just spending it in a different place. I don't think he saw the justification.
I'm trying to talk my parents into coming to get me when they go to Green River while my sister has her baby. I think I need a little help in convincing them. I just can't do puppydog eyes over the phone, so it's harder to convince them :)
We ended up getting $100 for our gray car, which we were pretty excited about, seeing how we only got like $25 for the last car that died. But the bad thing was, after I was coming home from doing the paperwork for the gray car, our red car started malfunctioning. I put it in park and got out of the car to get Sam, but the car kept moving. I thought maybe I hadn't gotten it into park, so I jumped back in, but it was in park, so I ended up just putting the e-brake on. The next time I drove the car, when I parked, it parked just fine, so I don't know what it's doing. It did the same thing at the bank today. Hopefully it's just another quirk that the car has, but we've had the suspicion that the transmission is going to go at any time. That would be horrible, considering we have another 4 years before it's paid off. We did our research on it before buying it, and it looked like a great deal. It just goes to show that not everything that looks goood on paper is actually a good thing.
Wow, this is long. I think I'll quit.
